One sleep….

So for all of you who wished me luck for the interview, thank you. I didn’t get the job but I will hopefully be doing some volunteer work for them which will enable me to start getting the qualifications I need plus give me the experience they thought I was missing in the interview. Apparently it was very close between me and another candidate but the other candidate pipped me to the post with community experience which I don’t have.  Luckily I have a lot of other stuff going on in the background so as much as I would have liked this job I can at least say I now have more time to do X instead.

TOMORROW IS THE COMPETITION. I thought I would be more nervous than I am, maybe because it’s my first competition I know it will all be a PB so no point being nervous. There is only one event I am actually worried about and that is the 65kg farmers walk. Picking 65kg up is a struggle for me, I am hoping with the help of magic chalk, belt and PMA I will be fine.

Erm there really isn’t much more to say, usually the plan would be to eat well and get a good nights sleep but I have had a dodgy tummy (nerves?) for the last few days and I have 2 young children so I never get a good nights sleep (yeah worlds tiniest violin). Unfortunately for this competition I will have no home support as we couldn’t find childcare but I do know a couple of the other girls watching/competing and I know the atmosphere will be supportive and friendly.

All I can do now is smash it 🙂

Aww I will be cheering for you!! I’m sorry you didn’t get the job, but it sounds like things have worked out okay. I feel surprisingly calm tonight. I know tomorrow morning I will be a bundle of nerves!

I’m sorry you didn’t get the job but it’s good to know that you were at least close! Now, to focus on your competition, which I know you will just destroy. Good luck!

So exciting – good luck tomorrow! I know you will be fabulous!

I have soooo been there with the job situation. It’s difficult to get through, but obviously you are keeping a calm perspective on it. Perseverance will win the day.
